Jason Garrett wasn't drafted when he entered the NFL as a QB. He was signed as a free agent by the New Orleans Saints.

After his father's dreadful 0-10 year in 1985, he resigned as head coach and Jason and his brothers, John and Judd all transferred back o Princeton where Jason goes on to become the starting QB for Princeton.
